Whatcha Reading? Wednesday

You know you want to... two more days to enter Jane's Cellar Giveaway!

I finally, finally, have finished the book I was reading and started a new one! Goodness, it only took me three weeks. I start getting annoyed at about two weeks, especially if the book isn't that long... but sometimes, it just takes awhile to get through something.

Anyway, I started a new book! It's a fun non-fiction baby book, of course. My friend gave it to me as a present because she said it helped her so much with her kids. Well, I'm always up to reading new books. It's called "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Dr. Marc Weissbluth. I haven't gotten too far into it yet (darn baby taking up my time) but so far, so good!

For fiction, I was going to pick up "The Husband Trap" again. I mentioned it weeks ago and then started reading "The Night Circus" instead. I brought it with us, though, so I better get to it!

Speaking of "The Night Circus," I finally finished it. It took me three weeks. I wanted to give a short review and while I don't think I'll give much away, I might. That's your warning!

I'm going to start by saying that I'm not sure if I even liked it. That's probably why it took me so long to read it, I just couldn't get into the book. I was confused half the time. There were so many characters that just didn't seem to do anything and so many jumps that it just got... confusing. And I kept waiting for something to happen. The book promised some sort of big duel between magicians, an ancient conflict, but nothing ever happened! The book just sort of ended. Just done. There wasn't any conflict really at all. This book got rave reviews and I guess I need to read those because I just don't get it... did you read it at all? Tell me what you think.

Let me know... whatcha reading?

  2. I'm reading How do Eskimos keep their babies warm. A non fiction book about parenting styles, beliefs and traditions in different cultures. So interesting
