Welcome, New Year!

Brandon and I aren't a very exciting couple. 2006, we were apart for New Years. 2007, we actually were together! 2008, we were together but we both were sick, so we passed out early. 2009... well, I can't remember what we were doing, but I think we stayed up. But hey, we might've fell asleep, knowing us. 2010, he was in Iraq.

2011? We made a dinner of crab legs, popcorn shrimp (from scratch) and scalloped potatoes. We rented "The Help" and watched it together. I fed the baby and we passed out just past 9pm. I was up again just after midnight with a hungry baby and a terrified dog, listening to the explosions outside while I fed Penny. But I'm not disappointed!

And now here we are, 2012! The year to end all years ;)

We'll be moving to Alabama this year so Brandon can start on his new journey in flight school. I'll hopefully be settling into my new role as a stay-at-home mom and working on my novel stuff. Gotta send out more query letters... I'll celebrate my 25th birthday and Brandon will celebrate his 27th (when did we get so old? Didn't we just turn 20?). Penny will be a year old in December! Dexter and Winston will both turn three in July.

Ok, that's just birthdays. There will be so much more happening. I don't have any reason to dread this coming year, I'm actually really looking forward to it. No more deployment looming over me, we'll be starting a new life somewhere else, we have our little baby and we get to watch her grow. What's not to love?
