Sometime in the next couple weeks, Scattered Seashells will be moving to WordPress.

What does this mean to you?

The link will remain the same, but if you're following via GFC, you'll need to find a new way to follow - Facebook, Twitter, Email, BlogLovin', or any other way.

Changes & Following

I'm going to be rolling in some changes soon, starting with a new blog design. I love this one but it's been almost two years and I think it's time for a change. I want something sleeker and less cluttered, too. I can't wait to see my new one! Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for that to happen.

Other changes? I want to be more connected to the whole blogging thing. I'm not really in the whole bloggy-world, but I want to be. I mean, I've been blogging long enough and have started to gain more followers. I better get on it!

You've probably read in other blogs about Google Friend Connect being discontinued soon. This is a main way for most people to follow blogs. Now you have to decide how you'll receive your blogs! I don't have this one set up for emails yet but I should soon.

Here's a few other ways you can follow me, or other blogs:

Bloglovin': I found this site through a well-adjusted pessimist. I was skeptical at first because I always just used the Blogger blog roll for my subscriptions. I'm actually really liking this website! I recommend it!

Facebook: Did you know I have a FB page? And that I post all the blog posts on there every time? You should "like" my page to get updates!

Twitter: I just re-opened my Twitter account. I was originally using it for my writing "career" but since that's not happening quite yet, I'd rather work on my blog! So I changed my Twitter handle and am hopefully going to get more followers. However, in an effort to curb the random subscribers, I made it private. If you want to follow my goings-on, just ask to follow me. You'll get all the wonderful to-the-minute updates like "Penny just pooped" and "Middle of the night feeding!"

Those are the three main ways to follow me! And keep an eye out for the changes, it'll hopefully be even easier to get blog updates.

  1. Is there a real difference between BlogLovin' and Google Reader? And I can't wait to see your new design!

  2. Hmmm, bloglovin' seems interesting... Is it like Google reader?

I've been wanting to get a new blog design too. I am SO over mine now that I've had it for a while. My issue is finding someone to do it and for not a whole lot of money. =/

Oh, and I'm super excited you have a Twitter account now!

I've heard about BlogLovin' but haven't checked it out yet. That will definitely be on my to-do list! Thanks for recommending it! :)
