39 Weeks

How Far Along: 39 weeks, 1 week to go!

Size of baby: Baby S is 19-21 inches long, the size of a watermelon (yikes), and weighs around 6-7 pounds.

Weight Gain/Loss: I'm at 170. Gained a few pounds this past week!

Body Changes: Cramping a bit. I'm dilated to 1cm and less than 50% effaced. Stretch marks on my thighs.

Gender: It's a GIRL!

Movement: If you read my previous post, she has definitely moved - in the wrong direction. But other than the breech thing, she's very active.

Sleep: I wake up 1-2 times a night to pee, and then every hour or two to shift positions because something has fallen asleep or is just uncomfortable.

What I'm looking forward to: Beer. Wine.

Cravings: Nothing much lately.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, mild cramping, an achy belly, a numb rib that hurts sometimes, swollen ankles (a new development).

Best Moment This Week: Well, in the past week two of my December pregnancy buddies had their babies! One had hers on Friday 4 days before her due date. The other had hers today! Both girls. The second friend was due a week after me, so boo on her ;). This just shows how close we are to having our baby. I can't believe it.

Oh, and I've reached that point they all talk about, when you just want the baby out. I'm getting impatient! But now that I know she's breech, I'm taking a step back. I have to focus on other things first.

But hey, there's a full moon on Saturday night... you never know, right?
