31 Weeks!

How Far Along: 31 weeks, 9 weeks to go! Yep, we're in the single digits!

Size of baby: Baby S is about 16 inches long, the size of four navel oranges, and weighs about 3.3 pounds.

Weight Gain/Loss: Gaining about a pound a week now. Started at 141.6, was 158.8 most of the week. Today I weighed in at 159.6. It might have been the pizza last night though...

Body Changes: Belly growing! That's about it.

Gender: It's a GIRL!

Movement: She's a morning person like her mommy. I'll usually start feeling movement right when I wake up and through breakfast, then a little bit during the day. She picks up the activity right after dinner. I bet she likes food as much as I do!

Sleep: I'm hitting that point of bad sleep the books talk about. I'm still only getting up once to pee, but now I'll wake up randomly throughout the night. Sometimes, I'm wide awake! It's frustrating because I like my sleep, though I know it's all preparing me for when she arrives.

What I'm looking forward to: Having everything ready and just waiting for her to arrive.

Cravings: Garlic! I chop garlic up into everything these days.

Symptoms: Back pain, foot pain (from my injury awhile back), always yawning... but nothing I can't deal with!

Best Moment This Week: Starting sewing! I've been working on this quilt/blanket kit I bought at a garage sale, and chugging my way through cloth wipes.

We had our Labor & Delivery tour yesterday. It was interesting... not too informative. She just dragged us around, showed us some rooms, and then we filled out our pre-registration paperwork. I had seen the areas before, but I'm sure it was nice for Brandon to experience a bit. We were both taken aback by some statements of procedures they do, but we know if we have a solid birth plan, then it shouldn't be an issue.

  1. Congratulations! You're getting close. It's wonderful to have a birth plan, just be open to the reality that things may not go as planned. I know that sounds like a bummer, but a birth plan is seen as a suggestion more than a necessity. Don't be too discouraged if it isn't followed exactly. I hope it all works out the way you want.

  3. Woo for the single digits! That's always exciting! Your belly looks wonderful! And like it was said above, if you have a solid birth plan there shouldn't be an issue with the hospital. Glad your hubby got to see what's going on too, that is always a big help :)
