Australia - Sydney (Taronga Zoo & Bondi)

The next day we were heading to the zoo! In the morning we went back to Circular Quay and hopped on a ferry to get across the harbor. This is me with the bridge:
Brandon and I both love the zoo, so the Taronga Zoo was a must-see. As you can see, Brandon was excited:
The zoo was filled with plenty of cool Australian animals. We saw wallabies, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, wombats, koalas, platypuses (platypi?) and the typical zoo animals. Though funny enough, my favorite animals to see were these 7 piglets - they were so cute! Brandon was happy to see the red pandas and the crocodiles.

The zoo was fun. We saw a bird show demonstration and a seal demonstration. We made sure to hit every exhibit in that place. I'm pretty sure we were there from open to close.

As you can see, I was exhausted. All this walking we had been doing for the past 4 days was really wearing on my feet. Sometime this day or the next, I injured my toe, and it's still hurting!

The next day, we took our longest train ride out to Bondi Beach. It was a total different feel from the big city - shorter buildings, brighter, sunnier, slower. Our first stop was the famous beach itself, of course, and we made sure to dip our toes in. Oh, was the water cold!

After walking around the shops and neighborhoods for awhile, we took a bus north to an area called South Head, which is the southern border of the harbor entrance. The water was so pretty and the cliffs were awesome. We hiked along for as long as our feet could handle.

On our way back to the train station, we stopped at an Apple store and got our internet fix. It was nice to be able to read and respond to emails!

And then, on our way back to the hotel we decided to stop at another place to check out the area. I guess I wasn't going to have it though. The combination of exhaustion, painful feet and a baby constantly sitting on my bladder got to me and I broke down. Whoops. Brandon took the tears real well and once I calmed down, brought me back to the hotel to rest.

Alright, enough of that for tonight. I've flooded you with too many blog posts! Tomorrow I'll come back and write another few so I can get it over with and back to regular blogging. ;)
