I just got back from a BlueStar sponsored Spa Night! The BlueStar program is for spouses of deployed service members. It's awesome, they always have events to attend! And they're free! It was a lot of fun. We got some stuff for our hands and feet, plus some food and girl time. Great!
It was much needed break after work. Work wasn't too bad, but I was left with a big headache from the noxious fumes floating in... they were painting the cement all along the building. The guys painting had masks on, but we had to suffer! Owie. I have no medicine in the house that wouldn't make my face swell up... so I'm out of luck. I'll try to sleep it off!
Oh, and before work even, the termite exterminator arrived to evaluate and possibly spray. It's worse than we all thought. The termites had eaten their way for awhile and were starting on new cabinets. He said they're ground termites, so it's not an easy fix. They came from up, not in the air. So he needs to tear out the cabinets and drill holes into the ground to kill them. Cool... He said we needed the new cabinets ASAP, not in 8-10 weeks like the maintenance guy said. Ahhh.
Anyway, here's what my kitchen looks like now that they tore out the original destroyed cabinets. We need the rest all the way to the stove tore out too, I think. At least I don't have to pay for this!!
Wow, I am exhausted. I think I might go upstairs and read early, then go to sleep. I need it!
