Day One Hundred Ninety-Four

Hi! First I want to talk about a blog award that I was given! Amanda at Amandon & Don thought I was worthy of the award so... thanks so much!! I appreciate it!

I'd like to pass this award to Abbey at Trading Diamonds for Dogtags. Check her out!!

Second order of business... I did my own Dialect Vlog! What's a dialect vlog, you ask? I found this idea through Jessica at jesstagirl and her officer. You take a bunch of words (see list below the video) and then answer some questions to see the differences in dialect. Even from watching Jessica's video I can see some of the big differences. I have my Canadian/Colorado accent and it makes everything wacky. ;)

Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

What do you think? Let me know if you do your own!

  1. Loved it! I think this was such a fun thing to do!

  2. I love watching all of these!

  3. Thank you so much for my award!! Sorry it took me forever, I just remembered it and it totally made my day!! :)

Also, I LOVED watching your dialect vlog. I have actually never heard of a 'sunshower' before, I thought that was cute! :) I definitely want to try and do my own dialect vlog before I leave!
