So, yeah, this blog was supposed to be "a blog a day" but now, it's like "a blog or two or three a day." I guess I don't mind! Sometimes I want to announce an award, or have two blog posts, or do a Fill-In. Whatevs. Y'all don't mind, right?
The MilSpouse Fill-In is brought to us by Wife of a Sailor.
1. What food reminds you of your spouse?
Steak. Every week, when we go grocery shopping, Brandon bee-lines to the steaks and browses for the duration of the trip (ok, not that long, I pry him away eventually). Every week, Brandon wants to barbeque some steaks. BTW, I don't love steak. I eat it, it's alright, and he makes an awesome steak, but I don't crave it like he does. Anyway, it's the German in him that craves meat and potatoes. I make him eat salad with it, though.
2. Who would you rather sit next to in a cross-country plane ride: an irritating non-stop talker, or a quiet stare-er?
Talker. I can either block them out with music, or just tell them to shut up, or have a good conversation with them! I can't stand people who are super quiet and I definitely don't like people who stare...
3. What are your best tips on how to save money?
Don't buy new when you can buy used (especially cars). Eat at home or pack a lunch. Don't impulse buy - if you're at the store and really want something, grab it and walk around for a bit. If you still want it, then buy it, but otherwise, leave it there. Have a budget. Cut out the things you absolutely don't need. Realize when you're at your end and fix it!
4. What is your favorite summer memory?
When I was 19, I went on a random roadtrip with my friends James and Rachael to Minnesota, of all places. It was pretty fun, though. Another summer when I was 16 or 17, my friend Clara and I got season passes at Six Flags, so every week we would hop on the bus, ride it down to Six Flags and spend the entire day there. When we got bored, we would hop on another bus and go to downtown Denver to walk around. I have tons of good summer memories! I can't list them all.
5. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yep. I believe in ghosts, I believe in spirits. I've read books about it. It scares me because it's unknown and I can't see them, but it also fascinates me.
