Day Five

Wow, got kind of depressing last night, huh? Well, today was quite a day, and I'm feeling good/tired!!

First, an honorable mention to Dexter, who freaked out when the fireworks happened and tried to run away. I ended up putting him in my friends house where he cowered in the corner. He's such a sweetie.

This morning I had a meeting for the spouses club newsletter. I'm the editor for the newsletter so this was our first time getting together and sorting things out. I have a LOT of work ahead of me (anyone know how to format newsletter on Microsoft Word/a Mac? I'm still trying to figure it out!) I'm excited to get working. At the meeting our president (and my good friend) Christina told us about a room that needed to be cleared out at the Thrift Shop, which our club owns. I said sure, I'd help! Well... 4 hours later... I finally got home. Not the plan!

That's ok though, I'm glad I could help. I just wasn't expecting to be gone so long. Then I texted my friend who had her baby, she was still in the hospital, if she needed anything. Her husband and her requested Panda Express (they were tired of hospital food!) and I offered to bring some. They were so grateful! I was glad to help. And I got to meet their baby Nolan for the first time. Here he is!

He's such a cutie! He looks just like his dad, it's great. I spent a few hours there until they got discharged (yay for her!) and we walked to the car together. It was a good time and I'm glad I got to see them.

Now I'm home, in my PJs, doing laundry and watching TV. Got some Last Comic Standing on soon! I feel bad since Dexter was home all day by himself (do you ever feel bad for leaving your dog so long?) but since it's raining, there won't be a walk today. I'll walk him tomorrow morning, though!

  1. What a cute little boy! I'm glad you had such a nice day :) And yes, I always feel bad when I leave my doggies home for too long! Thankfully, that doesn't happen too often! And also, it helps that they're lazy :)
